As the Finance Administrator at Amethyst Care and Support Group, I oversee various financial functions, including payroll, sales ledger, account reconciliation, and petty cash management. I have worked in the field of mental health for approximately 30 years now. I began my career working in forensic rehabilitation services but have enjoyed a varied experience including acute support, community support, managing accommodation services and being an active participant in the modernisation of Mental Health services in the Leeds area. My career has taken me from working with the NHS, Leeds City Council and the private sector. During this time I have completed mental health studies, Psychosocial interventions and qualified with the institute of leadership and management at level 4 standard.
I am a dedicated family man who loves to travel and a passionate Leeds United supporter (Long suffering!). My garden is my oasis!
Hi my name is Vickie and I am one of the trainers for amethyst
I started my career in care at the age of 19 in an EMI nursing home in south wales I progressed to senior then deputy manager. I am a trained qualified nurse associate by background I went into work in palliative care and did this for 6 years and truly enjoyed it. In 2021 I came to amethyst as a support worker then progressed to team leader. Amethyst put me through all the relevant training needed to enable me to become a qualified trainer and continue to support me in learning new subjects to teach.
