HOLLY GRAY

I am Holly Gray, a current manager for Mill Residence and Lingwell Rise. I previously worked as a waking night support work for Amethyst, I enjoyed this role however it was a challenge but very rewarding. I really enjoy my role as a team leader, it is a challenge, but Amethyst is a great company to work for and are very supportive.

I am a criminology graduate from Leeds Beckett University, I would love to work in the criminal justice system in the future as I have a real passion for understanding crimes and why people and society can impact the rate of offending.

I have worked a variety of jobs including cleaning, barmaid, teaching assistance but my current role is by far my favorite. I enjoy working with people, it is a highly rewarding sector but also comes with its challenges and obstacles and each day is different from the next!

I have been working for Amethyst CSG since 20th May 2024 and I have really enjoyed learning on the different aspects of the system, i.e., Birdie, Care planner and PeopleHR.

All staff from Support Staff to Management have been fantastic in the support they have given me; nothing seems to be too much to ask.

I feel that everything I have been taught and shown has been thorough and with precision and feel that I can achieve what is expected of me with great results.

BRENDAN O'REILY

I am a dedicated Team Leader at Mill Residence and Lingwell Rise. I have been an integral part of the Amethyst Care Services family since November 2024. Throughout my career, I have worked across various sub-sectors within the care industry, including residential care, secure units, day services, and education in SILC schools as both a teaching assistant and cover supervisor for adults and children. Most recently, I served as a specialist detox practitioner in drug and alcohol services, primarily focusing on alcohol misuse. I made the decision to return to residential support services, driven by my passion for empowering individuals to live barrier-free lives.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Amethyst Care and Support Group team, as their values closely align with my own. I believe that my personal attributes will contribute to providing the highest quality of support possible in this role.

Check out these amazing tenants from our Mill Residence service at Amethyst CSG, living it up in Bridlington on their summer vacation with their incredible support workers!

We can’t help but smile from ear to ear seeing the joy and friendship these two wonderful women share, made possible by the top-notch care and support provided at Mill Residence. After all, everyone deserves a little sunshine and sandy toes!
