I am Holly Gray, a current manager for Mill Residence and Lingwell Rise. I previously worked as a waking night support work for Amethyst, I enjoyed this role however it was a challenge but very rewarding. I really enjoy my role as a team leader, it is a challenge, but Amethyst is a great company to work for and are very supportive.

I am a criminology graduate from Leeds Beckett University, I would love to work in the criminal justice system in the future as I have a real passion for understanding crimes and why people and society can impact the rate of offending.

I have worked a variety of jobs including cleaning, barmaid, teaching assistance but my current role is by far my favorite. I enjoy working with people, it is a highly rewarding sector but also comes with its challenges and obstacles and each day is different from the next!

My name is Riley Mackenzie, and I am a Team Leader with Amethyst Care and Support Group Ltd. Prior to working with Amethyst I worked for the NHS in a variety of areas such as Emergency

Medicine, Obstetrics and Mental health. Amethyst has allowed me to take all of my experience and build on existing knowledge to enable me to take a person-centred holistic approach to

the care and support of all our tenants, looking at their Physical, Emotional and Psychological needs as one. Despite only being with the company a short time I am proud of the change and support strategies I have already implemented such a staff going home checklist. This is a simple tool

prompting staff to reflect at the end of the day and build self-awareness around what they think went well and what they would do differently next time hopefully allowing them to decompress

and identify if and when they may need some extra support.

 I am extremely proud to be part of the Amethyst family and feel empowered and supported to work with tenants from a range of backgrounds

to develop lifelong skills, knowledge and tools allowing them to live more independently and encourage recovery. I am excited to continue to build my knowledge and skills and grow with the company.
