I am a dedicated and compassionate Peripatetic Team Leader currently working within a Supported Living Service, where I support multiple services to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with diverse and complex needs.
Alongside my professional work, I pursued and completed a degree in Primary Education, which has strengthened my understanding of individual development and enhanced my ability to lead with empathy and structure.
My career began in a call centre, where I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills. After three years, seeking a more meaningful and hands-on role, I transitioned into the care sector as a Domiciliary Care Worker. This position allowed me to gain valuable experience providing essential support to individuals in their own homes.
My journey continued with a role at Amethyst as a Mental Health Support Worker. I support individuals facing mental health challenges, promoting their independence, recovery, and well-being. My dedication to delivering high standards of care led to a promotion of Team Leader, where I successfully managed a team, coordinated care plans, and ensured ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
In my current role as a Peripatetic Team Leader, I provide strategic leadership across multiple supported living services. I offer hands-on guidance and mentoring to staff teams, ensuring consistency, quality, and a strong focus on person-centred support in every setting I oversee

My journey with Amethyst began in October 2023 as a Support Worker at the Mill Residence, where I worked until the completion of Arch House in December. Having had personal experience with additional needs within my family, I felt motivated to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Transitioning to Amethyst marked a significant change from my previous seven-year career as a Retail Manager, however, the opportunity to support individuals has enhanced my understanding of care and support, and has made this journey incredibly rewarding.
Amethyst's unwavering support and encouragement have played a vital role in my growth within the company when I became a Team Leader in February 2025, I then progressed to Service Lead in June 2025 to continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we support.

I’m Hilda, a Team Leader at Amethyst Care and Support, supporting individuals at Springfield Court and Arch House. I have over eight years’ experience working in supported living and mental health services, and I am passionate about working alongside my team to provide person-centred, respectful, and recovery-focused support.
The people we support are at the heart of everything we do, and I take pride in helping individuals maintain their dignity, independence, and choice. I genuinely enjoy my role and am proud to be part of Amethyst Care and Support, contributing to the positive and meaningful work we do every day.
