TAYYABAH FATIMAH

I am a Team Leader at Austhorpe Road.

I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 4 years, my journey began in 2020. During my time at university I had a change of heart and resigned from my role from working in a contact center and obtained a part time role as a care assistant whereby I was supporting individuals in the community. I worked with a wide range of needs, my interest grew in the mental health field. This is when my journey began at Amethyst since joining I have gained amazing management team, and other professionals. I hope to grow further and continue doing what I enjoy the most.

NIAMH CULLEN
As Austhorpe Road's Team Leader at Amethyst Care and Support Group, I bring two years of dedication and passion to my role. My journey with Amethyst began as a Support Worker at Beech House, helping those affected by mental health challenges.
Holding a BA Hons in JNC Youth Work and Community Development from Leeds Beckett University, I pursued support work during my studies, focusing on young people with learning disabilities and autism. Amethyst recognized my potential, offering me the opportunity to specialize in mental health support.
Throughout my time at Amethyst, I've worked closely with tenants from both Beech House and Austhorpe Road, fostering meaningful connections. As I embark on NVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care, I continue to enhance my skills and provide exceptional support to our tenants.

OUTREACH PROGRAM

Nurturing You at Home: Personalized Support Within Your Walls

Amethyst Care & Support work in partnership with Leeds City Council, who commission the services we provide within the Leeds area. Anyone requiring specialist Supported Living and who reside within the Leeds area, would need to discuss this with their Social Worker in the first instance, who will undertake an initial assessment; If the Social Worker feels there is eligibility for Supported Living, a referral to the Mental Health Nomination Board will be submitted. If Mental Health Nominations approve the referral, they will then contact Amethyst directly with the relevant information. Once all information is received by Amethyst CSG and if a vacancy is identified, a member of the Amethyst team will make contact so that further information can be obtained to check suitability.
