I have worked in the field of mental health for approximately 30 years now. I began my career working in forensic rehabilitation services but have enjoyed a varied experience including acute support, community support, managing accommodation services and being an active participant in the modernisation of Mental Health services in the Leeds area. My career has taken me from working with the NHS, Leeds City Council and the private sector. During this time I have completed mental health studies, Psychosocial interventions and qualified with the institute of leadership and management at level 4 standard.

My name is Vickie, I am a dedicated trainer at Amethyst, I began my journey in the care industry at the age of 19 in a South Wales EMI nursing home. Progressing from a support role to senior and eventually deputy manager, I continued to enhance my expertise and passion for providing quality care.
Building upon my experience, I pursued a career in palliative care, a field I've thrived in for six years. In 2021, I joined the Amethyst family as a support worker, quickly advancing to team leader.
